I remember visiting Aunt Bette with Lynne when we were teenagers. She was such a nice person.

My Aunt Bette was born and raised in Beacon, NY. She went to Beacon Schools and lived in Beacon for the majority of her life. She loved to paint and garden and took great pride in her home. She loved her neighbors and over the years they all became very dear friends. Even after she took a fall, four years ago, and was unable to care for herself, she could tell you everything about Beacon. She remembered things that most people had long forgotten. She had a great love for animals. Over her lifetime she had several cats and a few dogs. She had a very long and full life. I hope that she will rest in peace.
